The Inspiration Behind First Generation Medicine

FirstGenMedicine is a free website that allows students who are applying to medical school an opportunity to ask questions about what classes to take, how to be actively involved on campus and off-campus, how to prepare for the MCAT, and how to ultimately apply to medical schools. First-generation pre-medical students can sometimes feel less prepared than their colleagues as navigating medical school can be quite challenging. The inspiration behind Firstgenmedicine was to help students who are the first in their families to apply to and gain admission to medical school gain a better understanding of their road ahead. Please reach out with questions that you may have, and with suggestions for what can be added to better assist students in achieving their dreams of attending medical school.
